 SCHOTT Solar is one of the large manufacturers of photovoltaic products worldwide with a portfolio of products comprising crystalline wafers, cells, modules and systems for grid-connected power and stand-alone applications, as well as a wide range of ASI® thin-film solar cells and modules. SCHOTT Solar holds considerable expertise in photovoltaic technology at each of its production facilities in Germany, the U.S.A., and in the Czech Republic. Based on 50 years’ experience in photovoltaics, the SCHOTT Solar Group operates a fully integrated SmartSolarFab® - one of the largest fully automated, state-of-the-art production facilities in the world - and is now expanding towards 130 MWp in cell capacity. SCHOTT Solar in Putzbrunn, near Munich – the centre for thin-film technology – develops and produces amorphous silicon cells for specific customer applications and for standard modules. Semi-transparent ASI THRU® modules offer aesthetic photovoltaic solutions for architects and their customers.
